In the fresher resume you have the option to include all your skills qualifications and certifications; no matter whether it is relevant to the prospective position or not. You dont know the skills required for working in the position and the things exactly expected by the employer. Hence it is good to include all your qualifications in your resume when you are fresher. You can also list the awards received during your school and college in the awards section. But remember that when you are listing all these details maintain the length of the resume and do not let it exceed two pages. Professional Resume Writing There is a lot involved in creating a professional resume that is attention grabbing and lands interviews. And recruiters will spend between 10 and 30 seconds reviewing a resume with their primary goal being to whittle down the piles of resumes that they receive each day to a manageable stack of "keepers".
Instead identify how you have been of value to your employers. Speak in terms of saving money increasing profits improving productivity solving problems or enhancing products or services. Be as specific as you can using numbers dollars and percentages as accurately as possible. The Combination Resume Format The combination resume as its name implies combines the best of both the chronological resume and the functional resume. A functional resume format is followed but the job dates are included. The employer is primarily interested in knowing what value you can bring to the company so that if your first page (or the first 2/3rds) of your resume can effectively show what value you bring to the company then any gaps may be overlooked in favour of bringing you in for an interview. A resume is basically a summary of your past employment history achievements skills educational attainments and competencies acquired through the years. Your resume is your sales letter to a prospective employer to tell them that you are the best candidate for the role.
If you have large gaps in employment you may want to just list your past employers but leave out the dates. You can deal with any questions during the interview. When it doesnt work well. If you know that in your career track the chronological resume format is strongly preferred you may have to go with the flow. Or you may decide to take a combination approach as described below.
